Don't let the Par Three designation scare you into thinking this is just a little chip and putt place. Some of the par 3s seemed to stretch for a mile! BIG variety of lengths. Rather narrow fairways and lots and lots of trees. Rather high and thick grass in the rough means you will lose a lot of balls if you miss the fairways. For the average player this is a good challenge. It took me 3 to get on on far too many holes! For a good player it is a good practice for your short irons. Only disadvantage is that men.s tees are off mats. Women,s tees are off grass. But they are good quality mats so that is good. Very friendly staff and great value price when booked online.
We played this course on May 5th. We were in Myrtle Beach on a short vacation and my spouse is learning the game...so we play a lot of Par 3 courses. This course was a true gem of a Par 3. We loved how it meandered through the trees.....too much so at times. It wasn't always easy to find the next hole. We liked that there were a variety of yardages...with the back tees ranging from 84 yards to approx 160 yards for a total of 2,200 yards. There were a few bunkers on the course...and only one hole with water. The greens were pretty nice for a par 3 course..and were reasonable speedy. The pace of play was good...and it was a very enjoyable round. We had a coupon for a discountl...so the price was right. Next time we are in Myrtle Beach...we will be making a return visit.
