I played here a few weeks after the flood in 2011, so the course was in understandably rough shape. That said, I did enjoy it. I like elevated tees on par fours and this course had a couple. Three par threes in a row on the front nine, and some short par fours on the back nine. The lady in the clubhouse was very nice and they discounted the greens fee because of the flood damage. I’ll play there again.

I found this course to be in rather good shape for late dry summer, greens were in very good shape, small to medium sized (regulars need to fix ball marks and rake sand when done playing their holes) fairways are easy to hit and well taken care of - rough was short but thick. There are three tricky par 3's on the front (6,7,8) which require a very well placed shot from the tee box to avoid trouble; 6&7 will need a draw to stay away from the trees on the right and the steep downhill since they are on the side of the mountain. A well placed drive on 4 will give a nice flop shot into the soft island green; a fun ego booster of a hole. The back side of the course plays much faster since all the holes lie side by side; the water does not come into play and the sand is easy to get out of-more ego boosting. A fun course to play and the owners are very nice people, well worth your time and a great value- special $$ before 11 am
