Reviewed this back in 2010. Amazingly what different management and staff can make. Some of the course has changed a little bit in the past 12 years. Absolutely fabulous course. Now my #2 favorite course in Ruidoso behind Outlaw.

Beautiful venue, we'll worth the money spent. Can be tough if you're not on your game.

Love this course, I'll definitely be going back. Whoever built this is a genius architect because its definitely unique and has a lot of surprises, haha.

To start, this is one of the most beautiful golf courses Ive ever seen. They do an excellent job keeping the course groomed! Also, to anyone saying the golf course is too hard: get better at golf? It was definitely challenging for my group, but it wasnt to the point of frustration. It seemed to be the right level of difficulty to be honest.

I was thoroughly impressed at not only the course, but the community as a whole. It's in a really beautiful place and seems to be expertly managed.

Wow, if you love golf your going to fall in love with this course. Don't let the yardages scare you, the ball flies at this elevation. Pick the right tees and follow the lay up advice minus a club and you will be in the right position. Played the course im mid May 2013 and the greens were in ecellent shape, better than most courses I have played recently at lower elevations. Each hole is unique and secluded, some of the most picturesque par three's you have ever played. Beautiful rock lined cart paths guide you through some spectacular scenery... don't forget you camera. The only thing this course is missing is a club house and it's under construction and appears to be only a month or two from opening.

My husband & I played this course during our stay in Ruidoso. What a beautiful and fun course to play. I am not a great golfer, but I did well on the course and had a great time. The staff was wonderful. We will definitely play this course again. Thank you Rainmakers for an excellent day.

Beautiful Golf Course! Not for the average golfer, better be a scratch golfer in tip top shape for this high priced golf course, Oh and did I mention to bring plenty of golf balls cause your gonna lose a bunch, best burger in town though!

Course was long unless you are a "Tiger Woods". The holes were unforgiving, but the scenery was great. I guess the developers are planning for a PGA Tour sponsor. Dont play this one unless you're in great shape physically and financially.

Rainmakers course is one of the most beautiful and well manicured courses you will ever find. Too bad it will go bankrupt if there are not some major changes made. After about the 5th hole our group had already decided the course is not one you care to play again. Our group consisted of a scratch golfer and two 10 handicappers. The sheer stupidity of the course probably the reason there are not many houses being built in the addition. Nobody wants to retire on a course that is so unfriendly to play that it makes it unenjoyable. I know there is an investor out there just waiting for the course to go under so they can get it cheap, make a few changes and have one of the premier courses in the country. The price is a little high too, but even at half the price you wont want to replay it. Its sad such potential going to waste.
