Liberty National is the most unbelievable golf course and clubhouse I have ever seen!! Every hole is unique and challenging. No better views of lower manhatten and the statue of liberty than at this course. It's hard to imagine that you are a 10 minute boat ride from lower manhatten. The views are to die for and are on par with Pebble Beach. The greens are the most pure running greens I have ever played. Phenomenal practice facilities. Driving range has multiple target greens. The center of the driving range simulates a fairway. There is also a fantastic chipping green. The clubhouse is modern and unlike any other clubhouse you will ever see. All glass and looking out to the statue of liberty. Great food, great staff and an overall unbelievable experience for the true golfer!! If you love golf...this has to be one of the top ten courses you will want to play.
Interesting place. Great clubhouse. Golf staff top notch. Great condition. Great range. Layout, one of the the most bizaare ever! Holes 1 and 18 are okay. Then it's as if the golf course is laid out backwards. It's as if every hole is built to look away from Manhattan. The greens are the most artificially constructed things I've ever seen with grass on them. Sawgrass looks much more natural. It is goofy golf at its worst! Played October of 2011 after revisions.
An extremely long, tough and interesting course, with unique vistas of New York City and the Statue of Liberty on almost every hole. One of the best in the U.S. Recent improvements for Barclays Tournament enhance play.
