Amazing course holes are very spread out, can't walk. My favorite course in the St. Louis area. You will almost never find yourself on a flat lie in the fairway. The ball is always below or above your feet.

The good: challenging course with a wide variety of holes, beautiful scenery, fun golf. The bad: management. I have three complaints about the folks in charge. 1) slow play - no ranger on course lead to 5:25 round 2) "dynamic" pricing - there are no set prices for a round. We paid $55 each; the others in our foursome paid $24 and the folks behind us paid $95. Doesn't seem fair and 3) they lied to us. I make it a habit to ask if the course is undergoing maintenance when booking a tee time. I was told that no maintenance was being done but we encountered greens that had been punched and sanded within the last 2 days. Putting was a joke - and no discount on green fees. The way they run the place ruins it for me.

Great course until you get to the last 3 holes. 16 is a split fairway that runs out leaving you a 170 yd shot (at best) into the green. No risk/Reward here. You can lay up leaving a long iron or hit driver hoping your ball randomly gets a good lie in the rough. Overall you most likely wont be dissapointed. Make sure to bring a few junk balls and try to hit the old farm house behind the 14 tee box.

Very interesting course... A wide array of holes, most very difficult. Always in good shape. Takes playing it a few times to get familiar with all the shots, some blind or awkward looks out there for sure. Very affordable now that Pevely is with Walters Golf.
