Really enjoyed playing this. For a public course, CV is very well maintained, and an exceptionally friendly staff. Far better than Jersey Shore public courses I usually play. For a beginner on the Cape, well worth the somewhat higher cost vis-a-vis other public options. Played faster than is typical for a public course thanks to starter/ranger keeping on top of the groups.

Played here in July and the course was in great shape. A fun and moderately difficult course. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The back nine was much more enjoyable than the front. I'd visit again.

Cranberry valley is in great shape. Great finishing holes. Each hole is unique. Excellent layout. Fair with relatively flat greens. Early tee times can get around in under four hours. Four and half is standard.

Once you get past Hyannis, public golf options on the Cape fall off pretty quickly. The last big public oasis is Cranberry Valley in Harwich. The course is pretty nice with the back 9 being much more challenging and fun to play after a rather ho-hum front. The course, at least this season, was in excellent condition. If you're looking for a good place to practice, the practice facility here would be comparable to a private club. Big range, nice putting green, sand bunker and chipping area all available.

The big thing here is the crowds. If you are playing in season on the weekend, prepare yourself for a 4 1/2 - 5 hour round. The pace is SLOW.

All in all, I'd probably go back given the other options available this far east on the Cape.
