This place is a complete wreck! Most holes share a fairway and it's laid out like Ray Charles was the course designer. Most of the greens look like they have mange, plus it's more expensive than the two parks department courses in town... Don't bother.
This is a GREAT! local golf course, and it has everything going for it. First of all it is the only golf course in Terre Haute thats open all year round. Second it is currently under renovation, so yes the course is a little rough, but it will be in great shape by mid spring of 2011. Though its in a little rough shape it is still better than Rae Park, or Hulman Links in nearly all areas. Not only that, but They are currently in the Process of adding a Driving Range on what used to be their back 9 holes before the flood. Can't wait to see that driving range. Besides who doesn't like to warm up before they play. I give it a 3 for Amenities because it does allow golf cart and walking, but the pro shop is not always in stock like they should be. 3 for difficulty because there are plenty of sand traps, and all the trees make is a tough course if you get just a little off the fairway. Maintenance I give a 3.5 like I said before its under renovation, so its a little rough right now, but once done I would give it a 4.5. I give it a 5/5 for scenery. All the Trees and the great view of the river make it a beautiful course to play on. I also give it a 5/5 for value. The rates are great for course of similar caliber in the area. The yearly membership cost is actually half that of the local average is for local golf courses. So The Riverbend Golf Course at The Landing at Fort Harrison gets a 4/5 over all from me. Probably a 4.5/5 next spring once all renovations are finished.
