I like the course a lot, and have been a member for two years. A great deal too, playing for $43 with a cart Mon-Thu. It is long and has a lot of elevation, so you should get a cart to play 18. I play there because on most holes you can tee up the lumber and swing away. Still, three of the four par 5's are configured so getting on in 2 is nearly impossible. OK. Super hard anyway. Two things need improvement: [1] They have had water issues in some spots, and [2] the sand traps have a lot of dirt rather than sand. So, you have to avoid the traps at all costs!
Elevated tees and and views of the Monterey Penisula really make this an enjoyable course to play on. Also, with the recession, one can get a pretty good deal. Looking for a value alternative to Pebble Beach, Laguna Seca is for you.
