Played there earlier this week. Had a pretty good time, but if you are looking for a resort style course with a fancy clubhouse, this is not the place. Some condition issues may be due to time of year.
The Good: Friendly staff, wide fairways, very few water hazards, inexpensive, good pace, no houses/condos lining the course, food & drinks available
The Not So Good: bare spots in fairways, greens were bumpy/weedy, course was very dry, unable to flush toilet or wash hands in on course bathrooms - no water, rental clubs from the 20th century

If you're looking for a nice round of golf on a good course, at a reasonable price, this is the one for you! I was there this week with 10 friends and we really enjoyed it. Cathy (the owner/manager) is a gem. Very friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this course!

I played this course 2 years ago and was impressed only with the layout/design. I played again yesterday and I have to say that it was a major improvement. I had a blast. The greens were smooth and rolling nice yet were soft and receptive to well struck shots. The fairways were nice and mowed. Other than the rough having some bahalia that was kind of long and the tees on one hole looked like the turf crew almost lost them the course conditioning was great. The staff was friendly and polite. I will definitely be playing here again really soon. I am glad I didn't permanently write this course off. And for all of those who are complaining about its location?!......what's wrong with a golf course being in the middle of nowhere? I just happen to live right down the road. It's country. We like it that way. Not everyone likes looking at peoples back porches while they play. Good job soldiers creek. You got one back for sure. Keep up the good work.

Played here November 2010, and I have not found better greens in this county for under $150+/round. Greens are truly exceptional.

At $40.00 / round, this is an outstanding value. Easily worth twice that, and little wait.

Fairways are fine, and the layout is wonderful, playable and yet very challenging. This is more than a driver, 8-iron- 2-putt layout. Wind and tees change the course dramatically, and it offers a wide range of playing lengths to keep everyone happy.

Best price / layout ratio / condition golf course in Baldwin county by far. Granted, amenities are sparse as they reinvest, but from the golfers point of view, you would be out of bounds if you didn't play this track. Management is accommodating and friendly, food and beverages fairly priced. Just a great value on a really nice golf course. Each fairway is secluded from the other fairways, giving the sense your the only one on the course.I see this becoming a $150+ / round track in a years time.

Played course recently and really enjoyed it. Fairways may be a little stressed but the greens looked and played very nice. Staff was friendly and we had a good time.

This course can best be described as a cow pasture. While it is a nice piece of property, the maintance is poor at best. Fairways are chocked with weeds and poi anna and the greens are more poi anna that bermuda. Nothing had been cut for days though fairways were being cut when we left. This is a $5 course rather than the $50 they charged. Stay away!
