Northport Golf Course is located at a VA Facility. It’s meticulously well-maintained, and you can often meet local Veteran’s out on the course. The course is set on gently rolling hills. It’s in the middle of dense woods, but the course has been cut out of the space. It’s open and has very wide fairways.You’ll also find the occasional large tree on the fairway as well. Northport has excellent staff, and most of the people you’ll meet here are Veteran’s who are volunteering in their spare time. The course has a welcoming atmosphere. One of the best things about this golf course is that it’s within reach to get a hole-in-one on the 9th hole. Watch out for the two large sand traps on the left side of the fairway. This hole also doglegs to the left. Hole #6 is the most difficult on the course. It doglegs to the right. Watch out for dense trees on the right side of the fairway on the front half of the hole, and trees on the left side on the back half of the hole. You’ll also want to keep your eyes out for Hole #7 - it’s a blind shot and the course doglegs to the left. This course has a good pace of play (which you don’t often find on a 9-hole course.) It has short Par 4’s and one Par 5. This course will test your short game, since the greens are small. Get ready to pitch and chip!
